It's About That Time of Year

Lately I have been feeling strange because all of my friends are getting ready to go back to school. Now that I'm graduated I decided to take a year off and work and try to figure out just what it is I want to go to school for. I'm more than okay with this plan, I mean I should be right because it was my decision. Even though I know that's what I want to do this year I still just can't kick the feeling that I'm forgetting to do something this time of year. It is just so weird to me to not have to be packing to ship off to ILC, it's nice but it's just taking some adjusting to remind myself that I am not going back to school this fall. I mean that is just what I'm used to...for 13 years I've been getting ready for school this time of year. It's not that I am wishing that I were going back right now but I do kind of miss going shopping for new school clothes and the good old days in elementary school where they would send you a shopping list and you would get to go to the store and pick out fun Lisa Frank folders and buy that fresh back of crayons and markers. And then standing at your bus stop on that first day of school. Oh where have those days gone?

Oh I am so with you! It's so hard for me to resist the school supply display at the store...It's hard to break that natural rhythm of your year. Whatever happened to Lisa Frank? I found one of my old LF folders (w/ a giant hummingbird) a few weeks ago and tried to convince Mikey to take it w/ him to college...

I love your new banner! Way to step it up!

Guess what? We are moving to the cities, officially. We need to get together and craft sometime!

Enjoy your year off. Take advantage of all of the opportunities to try new things and form your dreams and keep learning about yourself and your interests! And now that you have a bit more free time, I am hoping to see some hard core blogging about your adventures. :)

P.S. I am wondering about your rounded photo corners...Do you crop each picture individually in photoshop? Or what is your secret shortcut?
