Sunday night Heidi and I went to the Fine Line Cafe to see Sondre Lerche in concert. If you are unfamiliar with his music you may know him as "the guy who did the Dan in Real Life soundtrack" but he is such a talented musician. He has been around for quite a while with five records out and now he's touring and playing songs from his newest album "Heartbeat Radio". It was such a fun concert! It was just Sondre and his guitar, no band to back him up, but he didn't need it, he is so good live. He had a lot of energy and seemed so be so humble and down to earth which I find refreshing to see in a musician. Sondre was pretty funny too, from his silly facial expressions when he's playing or the stories he told, he made the crowd laugh. He is from Norway and has a cute Norwegian accent, he gives Norwegians something to be proud of in the music scene. His music style is completely his own and his songs get stuck in your head (in a good way) and you find yourself humming his tunes the whole day long. It was a great way to end the weekend, like I said if you haven't checked out his music you defiantly should. I love his sparkly guitar strap. And later in the concert he was rocking so hard on his acoustic guitar that one of the strings broke in the middle of his song.
The Fine Line was a great place to see him live, we were able to get really close and the sound was great!

Every time he was done with a song he would start talking to the crowd with his arms behind his back like this. (I apologize for the red eye in this picture it was unfixable)

I just recently got into his music. Yes, it was because of the fact that I loved 'Dan in Real Life', but it's been a love affair ever since.
Glad to hear you had a good time (I agree, anything is better when it's covered in sparkles!)
this man brings pride to anyone who is norwegian. lucky, lucky duck that you got to experience him live.
